Students Together Educating Peers
Students Together Educating Peers (STEP) is an organization sponsored by University Counseling Services to inform the Truman community on issues of diversity, gender communication, sexual assault and sexual harassment. Members of STEP are Truman students who have been trained by UCS' professional staff to educate their peers and create a positive environment for open discussions of difficult topics.
STEP members provide a wide array of programming including presentations, small group discussions, role-plays, theater and games. Most programs are interactive and all encourage discussion of topics important to students. STEP also sponsors awareness tables and activities.
Recruitment of new members occurs each Fall semester. New members are selected after an application and interview process. Look for STEP at the Activities Fair.

All of STEP's programs are presented free of charge. Contact UCS or check out STEP Programs for more information.
