Group Counseling

Group Therapy: Group therapy is a process where a small group of people (generally six to ten) facing a similar concern meet face-to-face with a trained counselor. Under the direction of the counselor, group members share and explore their feelings and behaviors, hear different points of view and coping strategies, and receive encouragement and feedback from others who face similar issues. The strength in group counseling is that individuals with similar concerns can work together to practice skills, broaden repertoires for problem solving, and practice interpersonal communication skills. It is a powerful opportunity for members to share and learn from others in a safe and supportive environment while working toward healing and change.
