5 Simple Things You Can Do About...
Depression
These are some things you can do about depression. This is not a complete list of ideas but just a few that might help. If you would like more help with this issues, please contact University Counseling Services at 785-4014 or ucs@truman.edu- Take care of yourself eat good food, get some sleep (but dont over do it), avoid caffeine & alcohol, get some physical exercise, and nurture yourself
- Find something familiar for comfort favorite TV show, movie, activity, treat yourself to something
- Get out and be with people or call someone you trust and talk about your feelings
- Try to stay busy & distracted hopefully this down feeling is only temporary and remember you are not alone
- Challenge and negative messages you may be telling yourself give yourself a break and try to be patient
